Sally Seaver is an independent scholar (i.e. not affiliated with a university or institution). She has training in mathematical logic and bachelor degrees in Social Science (1986), Math (1988), and Physics (1988) from the University of California at Irvine. She conducted an investigation into the existing foundations of science from 1982 – 1993; then set about development of standards for more order, avoidance of paradoxes, and more productivity.
Her research to-date is published at www.placeofunderstanding.us. Papers/presentations include:
- Overview of development of ideas from standards and protocol for any theory, through compliant theories for numbers, geometry and a start on physics.
- Working Together on Knowledge – a type of constitution for scholarly work with respect to science
[Here’s the Introduction] - Why Set Theory is Not an Acceptable Foundation for Mathematics
- Understanding Numbers – offers a theory that complies with standards set forth in Working Together on Knowledge; it covers what is known and defines new numbers and operations
